Hm I can't believe I Haven't updated since summer. whoopsies~ First week back, no real work to do. Killing 10 mins to see what's going on here before class again.

Well I have paintings, some mediocre jewelry and lots of beads! I have been cutting up old magazines and ads to make beads. they're really pretty but I am yet to string them. Or make anything with them, they're just so pretty in a dish or to play with.

I've been toying with the idea of using recyclables for art. So far my main medium is magazines and glue, but glue is not very enviornmentally friednly (or vegan) so I'm looking for a substitute. When my elmers runs out I can switch over. cardboard is so awesome to paint on! and if you layer it with magazine/paper it's very sturdy (boxes!). Dumpsterdiving for cardboard is so fun! woodburning is fun too, I bought a burn tool so salvaging wood is also on my dumpster agenda.

I haven't hacked the salvage aspect of computers. I tired once and it's harder than it seems. Also, the computer had a weird chemical smell, I figured i'd leave before I got anymore toxic fumes in my lungs.

Little bummed I had to drop painting II (240pm-715pm), but i picked up ceramics. Class schedules always are so tricky like that. I got into the science class i wanted at the cost of my first choice art class...that needs a teachers note to get in, waugh they're gonna be so pissed I didn't take it. I will tip toe down the halls this semester.

Loving the wintry weather, I went walking on the beach almost every day on vacation. I collected lots of pretty things and took pictures of iced rocks, frozen bays/houses and snowy beach. But I can't wit until the spring. By far the best time to be at college.
